My family is in Philadelphia and my wife’s family is in Orlando. When we had our wedding in Colorado, we knew there were a few people who wouldn’t be able to make it. Especially my grandmothers. We decided that a livestream was our best option to help those people participate. However, we were worried because my cousin’s wedding livestream had been a disaster. The picture was blurry and pixelated to the point that we really couldn’t see anything. The audio was so bad we couldn’t make out a single word.
I asked Steve to do a livestream of our wedding because of his extensive experience. I expected a high quality, single camera recording of the ceremony. Instead, Steve arrived early in the morning. Hours before even I, the groom did. He set up 4 different cameras at different angles. He set up a mini production studio discreetly at the back of the venue. He ran the needed cables from the venue building, across a lawn and down a cliff to the ceremony site, all without ruining the beauty of the location.
During the ceremony, Steve alternated between camera angles in order to get the best shot for each moment. One of the big standouts for my wife and I was the breaking of the glass. Steve cut to an overhead angle and caught the moment of the glass breaking perfectly. Immediately after he cut back to a wide shot showing the entire audience to capture their (and our) reaction. It was like watching a professionally produced television show and all of it was easily streamed and recorded on facebook.
Both of my grandmothers got to watch this and for one of them it was one of the last things she saw before she passed. I will always be grateful knowing that she got to see the wedding and thanks to the competency of the production, feel like she was there. I could not be happier and I believe my wedding was significantly better because of the work and skill that Steve put in.
